It’s baked Ziti season in our home. Nothing like loading up on some delicious carbs in the winter. This is always a hit with my friends and family and I make an extra one and freeze it. I use all spicy sausage and no ground beef. Really depends on your preference or if you have little ones and they don’t like the spice. The recipe I am posting tells you how to make homemade marinara, but who has time for that? I don’t so I buy 3 bottles of marinara and sautéed carrots, onion and celery and that really adds to the sauce and makes it taste homemade. If you have time let the sauce simmer for an hour. It makes it extra flavorful! I serve the Ziti with garlic bread and Caesar salad.
